YOU CAN’T ROLLER-SKATE IN A BUFFALO HERD
We can learn a lot from today’s youngster snowboarding teens, like how if you want to get better your going to have to step out of your comfort zone of what you know you can do.Nut up and do a new trick even though your probably going to fail. You then learn what you have to change to do it right the next time. this is why I think that teachers should allow more failure in school and be more relaxed. Because kids now days are so afraid of failure that they are scared to step outside there comfort zone because they might fail.
In a lot of ways you learn form failing like in my story about snowboarding Jory Neumann tries a new trick he wanted to learn but keeps rotating over the rail he gets the idea to get more then enough speed so that he can get the rotation down. Then tries the trick when he knows the rotation and completes it. I think that in school everyone just chooses assignments of things they know ,not taking risks or sticking there neck out in case they fail because if they do fail then they get scolded by teachers parents and sometimes even classmates.
I think that these days schools are just Assembly lines for kids to turn into adults they all learn the same stuff and they are all the same then once we get to college they ask what set us apart from the crowd even though we have been taught never to stray from the path of the norm because we might fail… and heavens forbid that we fail because if we do once again we will be punished for it and instead of learning what to fix if we do fail we learn to eliminate the chance of us even coming close to failing. Snowboarders fail all the time because they realize that the only way they are going to get better is through trial and error.

My Story Stuff

My story is about snowboarding and how far it has come and how popular it now is. I am looking in to how devoted people are to the sport, like how long they have done it, and how much money it costs them. I I think it’s a pretty localized angle because allot of people in this school like to snowboard. I have been a snowboarder for many years and I love the sport, and I have had many injuries and one of which was very life threatening. I think that this would also be a good thing to put in my story like if someone got hurt did they return to the sport and how did it affect them afterwards. I have interviewed 2 people and have gotten good quotes a big part of my story will be Joey Neumann and his own personal snowboard park in his back yard. I’m waiting on 4 more interviews I have to do and that’s about it. When writing the story I plan on focusing on how far the sport has come from being created not too long ago. To being one of the most popular sports in how intense the competitions a can be and how the tricks are always being pushed to new levels.
there is noting more i can really say at this point…

Deceit post

i think it is completely okay to use deception to get a story.if the person being fooled upon gets in trouble it their fault Id say. i think that like doing it to criminals and politicians is different then doing it to someone that is just an unsuspecting towns folk. like i have heard about people telling some one that they are doing a story on one thing but then secretly getting bits of info on a story that person is not aware of i think that is not okay.here that video however i do think that all of the story’s that use it are really interesting.

personally if i were a journalist i would never use it on anyone just because its not truthful and i don’t like being dishonest/ i suck at lieing. and i would just be too scared of getting fired i feel that.

like the show bait car its interesting and i think that if people are stupid enough to actually steal a car then they deserve to get caught.i think it a just okay thing to do to the scum of this earth and if people make a tv show out of it i think that’s okay too they deserve humiliated on national TV.
i think that photoshop and deceit are a lot alike they are okay but only in certain situations.like i would only use either if i knew it was okay and morally correct to myself. i have plenty of hogwash in my back pocket.

i have nothing more to say about this topic soo ill just answer your question with another question does jinking a zinker help you sleep at night because it should

My Jorking Review

What did you learn from creating a presentation and listening to the presentations from others? What does this learning mean?

Well i guess i had this fixed opinion on the first amendment, that everyone could say whatever and it would be covered by your rights. i learned that as a journalist you can get in a-lot of trouble as an effect of the decisions you make. i also learned a bunch of stuff about libel and what you need to prove in court to win a case of libel.

To me i suppose this learning doesn’t mean too much like its good to know and might be useful in the future but i don’t think it pertains to me at all really because i know for that if there’s one profession Im not going into it will be a journalist.

After learning about Supreme Court Law, what do you think about the limitations that have been placed on the media? Do you think all of the decisions are useful and fair? Do you think the media needs more or less freedom? What do you think of the laws as they pertain to High School Media?

I think that there should be no limitations on the media. i think that everyone should be able to know everything… and as you can see in my last sentence i do not think these are fair or useful. i think the media should have a-lot more freedom especially when it comes too government things. but i do believe that they should have too be truthful. i also think that photo shop should be banned from the newspapers and such. i think the laws on high school media are a little restricting i can see why they have them but i think they should be a tad less strict .. well i hate typing and writing in any form so i believe my work is done here!
